EpiCenter for Disease Dynamics
The EpiCenter for Disease Dynamics develops innovative analytical approaches to evaluate wildlife, human, and environmental mechanisms underlying disease emergence. Epidemiological investigations and data-rich mathematical models are used to evaluate risk of infectious disease spillover and spread, as well as forecast the impact of disease on human and animal populations. Led by Dr. Christine K. Johnson, the EpiCenter team engages in collaborative transdisciplinary research to inform science-based policy for emerging diseases affecting global health security, conservation, and pandemic preparedness.
