Bio

Hanna Ehrlich, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral scholar at the EpiCenter for Disease Dynamics. Hanna’s research seeks to understand the complex socio-ecological forces that delineate pathogen landscapes, particularly for emerging zoonotic diseases. She is especially interested in developing surveillance systems that employ both quantitative and participatory approaches to detect spillover events and local outbreaks. With training in the environmental humanities, Hanna also seeks to bring critical social science methods into epidemiological studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases from Yale University.
